Wearing their classic Knights jerseys, the Penticton Vees delighted students at West Bench Elementary School with a visit to the school on Tuesday.

Some students even participated in a game of ball hockey against a few players.

Other Vees players kept audiences enthralled as they read books to multiple classes.

Raising awareness of children is a big part of the Vees program.

Now the team is preparing for its season opener on Friday October 8 at the South Okanagan Events Center.

Penticton begins its first game with a perfect preseason.

The Vees made their home opener an unforgettable Knight with a comeback to the 1985-86 Penticton Knights.

On opening night on October 8, the Vees will honor their past and the 35th anniversary of the Knights winning the 1986 Centennial Cup as they take on the Vernon Vipers at the South Okanagan Events Center.

Tickets for the season opener are available now at the SOEC box office and online at valleyfirsttix.com.
